A warning: even the wise, striving mind can be dragged away.

Even for the striving, discerning person, O Kaunteya, the turbulent senses can forcibly carry away the mind.

SANSKRIT

यततो ह्यपि कौन्तेय पुरुषस्य विपश्चितः । इन्द्रियाणि प्रमाथीनि हरन्ति प्रसभं मनः ॥२-६०॥

KRISHNA’S LINE

Do not think steadiness, once found, is never tested again. The senses can churn like the ocean churned at the beginning of time — and pull even a wise mind under by force.
